A road trip to San Antonio to explore Texas’ rich cultural heritage, including visiting the historic Missions, the Alamo, and the River Walk. Students connect local history to global cultural themes.
We have a hotel room block with 25 rooms available for each night at the Hyatt Regency San Antonio.

After this date, rooms will no longer be available and you will need to contact the hotel directly to check on availability!

Please note, that if more than 2 adults will be staying in the room it will be an additional $25 charge per adult.
The rooms will only allow up to 4 people per room. The best option for getting connecting rooms or rooms near each other would be to include the request when making reservations, and to call the hotels in-house reservation line at 210-451-6363 to confirm.

Our upcoming trip will include a one-hour narrated boat ride along the San Antonio River Walk, where students will learn about the history and culture of this unique city. The eco-friendly GO RIO boats, decorated in vibrant colors inspired by Mexican folk art, will take us through the sights and sounds of the River Walk before dropping us off at The Saga light show—a stunning artistic experience projected on San Fernando Cathedral.

This awe-inspiring video art projection shares the story of the land, water, people, battles, and development of San Antonio, the Lone Star State, and United States history.
The Saga projection covers 7,000 square feet of light, color and visual narration projected onto the majestic façade of San Fernando Cathedral- the oldest continuously operating cathedral in the United States. Through the 24-minute journey, it has become a destination for residents, South Texans, national, and visitors from across the globe.
International artist Xavier de Richemont created this renowned exhibit to educate, and delight viewers, and stoke an appreciation for the epic history of San Antonio.
