Being a volunteer is a great way to meet other families with children the same age as your own, while becoming a greater part of your childrenโs early learning experiences and supporting their school.ย

๐ Every family at WIDE is required to volunteer 15 hours per school year. If you cannot fulfill this time commitment, we have parent sponsorships to help pay for events and activities.ย
๐ To Volunteer at The Wide School you must have a background checkย Fill out your Volunteer packet here
๐ If you will be handling food, you must get your food handlers' license: Take the course here

Animals on the weekends - feed goats, clean, give them water. Feed the fish and the axoltyl, and chickens.ย
4H - support the clubs or do workshops.
ROOM PARENTS
ROOM PARENTS
Our Room Parents are the bridge between families, teachers, PTO, and school administration.
ย Each grade grouping has dedicated Room Parents who:
ย Share important announcements
Coordinate volunteers
Keep parents connected through WhatsApp chats - these chats are moderated to ensure they stay focused on school communication, while separate social chats allow families to connect more casually.ย
Organize class-specific events
Support teachers with needs and requests
Make sure every family stays in the loop.
Room Parents meet with the admin, PTO, and teachers once a month.ย
If you are interested in becoming a room parent, keep an eye out in the newsletter. Each summer we will send out a meeting for all who are interested in becoming room parents.ย
