Please drive slowly - there are a lot of littles moving around in the mornings and after school. 

Students should be dropped off at their classroom by 8:15

Parent/Guardians must inform the school of any alternate adult picking up a student either through email or a phone call, if the person appears on the pick-up list. The alternate person is required to show a photo ID and sign the student out in the main office located in the WIDE School building prior to proceeding to classroom for pick up. We will only release your child to individuals listed on the pick-up list. (If necessary, you may add to or change the list of named individuals during the course of the year.)

No cell phones or smartwatches are allowed. There is a phone locker at the front for students to lock their phone during the day. They will be given access to it if it is needed for an assignment or if they are going off campus for lunch. 

if your child is not feeling well for any reason you will need to find alternate care. If your child has a fever (100 degrees or above), is vomiting or has diarrhea, he/she must stay home for at least 24hrs after he/she is symptom free. Please do not bring your child is he/she has a contagious illness or exhibits any of the following symptoms:

● Fever of 100 degrees or above

● Vomiting, in excess of typical infant spit-ups

● Diarrhea

● Conjunctivitis (pink-eye)

● Consistent complaints of ear or stomach pain

● Bleeding other than minor cuts and scrapes

● Excessive greenish nasal discharge, indicating possible infection

● Head lice

In general, if your child is too sick to go outside and play, then your child is too sick to attend school. Any child requiring prescription medication will need to be kept at home for a period of at least 24 hours after taking the first dose of medication or until the child is no longer contagious. 

When you visit, please check in at the front desk. 

In order to protect the safety of our children, all visitors must sign in and provide the office with a picture I.D. No more than 2 visits in one month are allowed without an FBI background check with fingerprints. That can be arranged through the office. 

A visit to the classroom should be arranged with the teacher in advance. We ask that during classroom visits adults remain silent, so as not to disrupt the students. 

If you are visiting for lunch, please sit with your student at the white tables in the lobby. Lunch can be purchased for $5.00.
